THANGASSERRY
Thangasserry is a sea side village in Quilon where remains of
old Portuguese fort and churches can be seen.
THIRUMULLAVARAM
It is in Quilon- 71 kms north of Trivandrum, is an excellent
picnic spot.
ALLEPPEY
Most picturesque beach, here has dense palm groves and
ancient towering light house. The beach is 65 kms from Cochin.
KAPPAD
This is a historical beach where Vasco-da-gama landed in 1498
A.D. The legend woven around its historic origin and tradition cast a mystical spell on this beach. Kappad
beach resort is famous for Ayurvedic treatments.
CHERAI
An isolated enchanting beach famous for its incredible
natural perfection. Cherai is just off Cochin. The beach is thickly fringed with palm trees. The lovely beach
bordering Vypeen Island at Cherai is an ideal swimming area.
BEKAL

Bekal with views across the bays to the north and south is breath taking. Bekal fort is the largest fort in
Kerala, built in the 17th century. |
Many caves and underground pathways within the fort &
remains of palaces are evidence of ancient historical importance. It is situated 16 kms south of Kasargode.
