Nelliyampathy hills comprise a chain of
ridges cut off from one another by valleys of dense ever green forest and orange plantations. This fascinating
hill station is at a height of 467-1572m above sea level. At least 10 hair pin bends have to be negotiated on
the Ghat road that passes through the breath taking ever green forest of the Sahya Ranges. |
Seethakundu at Nelliyampathy offers a
panoramic view of about one third of Palakkad. And has excellent trekking trails. The community hall at
Kaikatty provides good place for trekkers. En route from Palakkad, the shimmering Pothundi Reservoir and its
manicured surroundings make for the ideal stop over. The highest peak is Nellikota on Padagiri-15.232m above
